High Street St. Gregory's offers a useful cycle cut-through.
Palace Street, branded the King's Mile, is pretty cycle friendly. However at times it can be quite busy with pedestrians and the parallel King Street to the west offers an easier way to cycle into the city centre.
Mill Lane (St. Radigund's) is divided by bollards, between which the signed cycle route passes.
National Cycle Route 1 follows a short one-way circuit here, turning right into Knotts Lane, as signposted beneath the right-hand No Entry sign.

The river Nail Bourne very occasionally (once every one or two years) flows along South Barham Road here.
Crossing over A290 from Bogshole Lane on the east to Pye Alley Lane on the west is blind. Plus there's an upward incline for the last few metres where Bogshole Lane meets the A290. Traffic on the A290 often exceeds the 40mph speed limit.
Stream Walk pedestrian and cycle route. Passes beneath the railway. Steps approx 100 metres to the east on the south side of the railway. Continue south on Stream Walk onto Old Bridge Road in order to avoid these.
